How to Download WhatsApp Status Photos and Videos on Android



 There are many new features rolling out to WhatsApp users every now and then, one such feature is the “WhatsApp Status” feature which is taken from Snapchat’s Stories feature and WhatsApp decided to roll out the feature to all the users which is a massive 1 billion or more users across the globe. WhatsApp has decided to replace the old Status feature with the WhatsApp Status or WhatsApp Stories feature. It is much similar to the Snapchats Stories and contacts can view the shared images, GIFs or Videos for a period of 24 hours before it gets deleted automatically. However, WhatsApp doesn’t saves your friends and family status to the phone gallery unlike the media. Perhaps, if you want to download WhatsApp stories on Android which includes photos, videos and GIFs then you can do it easily with “Story Saver for Whatsapp“.  Method 1
First Download Story Saver for Whatsapp and Install it on your device – Download
Open the Application and Click on “New” tab to see recent stories.
Now you can see all your Photo, GIF or Video stories.
Open photo or video story you want to save.
Now below the Status, Click on download icon.
Done! The above step will download WhatsApp Status or Story to your phone Gallery.

 Method 2
First Download Whatsapp Story Saver and Install it on your device – Download
Open the Application and Click on “Recent Stories” tab to see recent stories.
Now you can see all your Photo, GIF or Video stories.
Click on photo or video story you want to save.
Click on download icon on top.
Done! The above step will download WhatsApp Status or Story to your phone Gallery.

 Download Whatsapp Stories by using the File Manager –
Download and install the ES File explorer from play store.
Open the Es file explorer and click on three dot menu from the top left side.
Now in menu navigate to Tools and enable ‘Show hidden files’ option.
Now Open Whatsapp Folder and then open Media.
Now you can see .Statuses folder, Open it.
Now you can see all the Whatsapp stories including photos and Videos.

 It is important to note that WhatsApp has not given an option to save the Status or stories shared by other users for a reason and they are being available for only 24 hours for a reason. So make sure that you give respect to the privacy of other users and their status updates and not download the Status without taking their permission.
